Almost any text that you see on your computer screen can be COPIED from one document and PASTED into another document. This is a very useful skill; it will save the trouble of retyping the text that makes up these Celtic Knots.
To COPY the text it must first be SELECTED; this is neccessary so that the computer will know what to copy. To select some text, place your mouse pointer at the beginning of the text that you want to copy and click your left (regular) mouse button and hold the button down. Drag your mouse (that means hold the button down while you move the mouse) over the text that you want to copy. You will see that the text will be HIGHLIGHTED. When you have highlighted all of the text that you want to copy, release the mouse button. The text is now SELECTED. To COPY, you can either just hold down the Control Key and type the letter c, or click on Edit from your tool bar, then Copy from the menu that drops down. Go to the document or application where you are making your knotwork and click with your mouse to put the cursor (blinking line) where you want the new pieces to be. To PASTE them in there, hold down the Control Key and type v, or click on Edit from your tool bar, then Paste from the menu that drops down. Your selected text will appear on the new page!
