Keya has done some wonderful work with the Celtic Knot Font. She has not only created some great effects, but she has even written a tutorial on how to do knotwork that appears to be carved into wood.

This invitation is an example of one of the ways that you can use the Celtic Knot Fonts in printed materials. This wedding invitation was created for some friends who were having a Rennaissance Style Wedding. I used the new Filled version of the font in Photoshop, copied the layer and changed the font to the original "Outline version" to put a black line arround the knotwork. The 2 styles align perfectly because of the great precision that was used in creating both of these styles.

OK, I got a little crazy with this one! First I created a simple knot with the Celtic Knot Font in Adobe Illustrator, rotated it 45 degrees and used the "punk and bloat" effect 4 times at 4 different levels on 4 separate copies of the knot. Then I imported the four knots into Adobe Photoshop and stroked 2 of them with white and blurred one of them (the white rays). Then I used Super Blade Pro on the other 2 layers to get the shiny purple mercury effect and the dark border.
